Name
: Jérémie PLU
Birthdate : 07 / 02 / 1980
Instrument : Singing / Harmonica
Jeremie's birthdate is important for him since, except that during that
blessed day this exceptional little being came to the world, it is the
date of the last AC/DC concert with Bon Scott, who tragically died twelve
days later, in the night of the 18th to the 19th of February.
His life begins to get interesting when he enters secondary school,
when he's 11 : he discovers hard-rock (Guns N' Roses, Joe Satrianni),
to finally come to heavy-metal (Megadeth, Iron Maiden). We now are at
the beginning of the 90's, period where it's almost "shameful"
to say that one listen to heavy-metal... So he fights against human
stupidity and this electronic shitty sound that radios keep harping
on.
Two years later it's the great revelation ! He discovers Helloween with
"Keeper Of The Seven Keys" and gets smacked in the face. He
finally understands that he won't only listen to heavy-metal but that
he'll have to play and sing like Michaël Kiske (easier to say than
to do). He begins to train and sings everywhere and everyday : it becomes
a reflex when he's got nothing to do (and he thanks his parents to have
endured his non stop screaming in the appartment)
At last, in 1996, he joins his first band, ZEF, and they play hard-rock
(AC/DC, Led Zeppelin). This line-up will splits two years later, because
of internal dictatorship, but it allows him to make his first shots
and to improve. With his brother as a bass guitar player, he sets up
a new band (Jackals), and this time it's heavy-metal (with also two
buddies of him at guitars and a drummer). This cursed line-up was doomed
to failure : after having replaced the drummer and a guitarist, the
band splits in 2000. Meanwhile, Jérémie already joined
another fusion band, Knock Out (Incubus style), but it didn't last for
long since they splitted 6 months later because of a lack of motivation
from some members. And then... nothing... musical emptiness : except
some jams with his pals, he doesn't play anymore due to lack of band.
In 2002 Jérémie comes to Paris... It's hard to find something
when you don't know anyone. He'll have to wait for march 2004 to get
back to the mic seriously and publish a small ad. Two weeks later he
joins an incomplete band (with a guitarist and bassist missing), where
Igor is already playing. July
comes and the situation remains the same : motivation is back to zero
and brawls succeed to each others. Back from vacation, the drummer quits
the band saying that he's fed up of them. So he sends new ads and a
few weeks later, Jérôme contacts
him. Once he met him, as well as Nico and Aurélien, Jérémie
calls Igor to support guitar !
Jérémie likes heavy-metal of course but also blues, honesty
and frankness, Neverwinter Nights, Unreal Tournament (the brutal side
of him), Nicole Kidman, Jean-Marie Bigard, his (dead) goldfishes, carbonara
spaghetti and rillettes (yeah, after all he's from Sarthe !).
At the opposite, he hates techno, dance and rap music, Frédéric
François (childhood traumatism...), Christian Clavier, hypocrits,
people who try to explain to him how he must think ("I Want Out"),
spinaches, cucumbers and his boss.
